School Meals

School meals face Tory Cuts!

School Meals

Changes to Universal Credit will mean that nearly 1 million of the countries poorest children will lose out on free school meals in primary school.

The Liberal Democrat policy was brought in just a few years ago and has been a huge success. Improving school outcomes through better concentration - whilst saving parents hundreds of pounds a year.

Potholes Worst Ever

Liberal Democrats Demand our Roads get Fixed Properly

At this time of year roads always have potholes caused by winter weather.

However, the Tory Government’s savage cuts to local spending has resulted in much less spent on road repairs. Kirklees Labour has not helped by failing to invest in road repairs. Funding has fallen to an all-time low. Liberal Democrat councillors demanded that an extra £1m be spent on roads but this plan was refused by Labour. The result is that our roads don’t get repaired properly.
